Halal bi halal with the theme of "Strengthening Ukhuwah, Merekatkan Bangsa, Upholding Pancasila Sovereignty" was attended by National Figures such as Salim Segaf Al-Jufri (Chairman of Majelis Syuro PKS), Zulkifli Hasan (Chairman of People's Consultative Assembly), Prof.Dr.HM Amien Rais (Dewan Suro PAN), Prabowo Subianto (Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DPP Gerindra), Hashim Djojohadiku (Adik Prabowo Subianto) and Bachtiar Nasir, Lc, MM (Chairman of GNPF-MUI).
Through these activities, Founder of PP Al-Ishlah Bondowoso, KH. Maksum invites all Muslims in particular and all elements of the nation in general, to reinvigorate the important discourse to strengthen friendship and rope fraternity. That is, in the form of Ishlah National, both among Muslims themselves as well as national brotherhood.
This is to answer the various problems of the nation, especially in terms of upholding the sovereignty of Pancasila. Secondly, to urge the government to reposition the Muslim ummah, especially the ulama as part of the elements that fought for the sovereignty of Indonesia, and not to create demarcation discourse between Islam and Pancasila.
Third, to encourage the state security especially the Police of the Republic of Indonesia to enforce the law that fulfills the principles of Islam, The principle of justice and not dragged into the turbulent political currents.
Fourth, appealed to all parties in order not to produce provocative discourse that can pit against the Muslims, as well as bumping Muslims with other religious communities.

But the high-ranking GNPF MUI seems to still have bargaining politics to the national scene, including a meeting initiated by President Joko Widodo on the day of Eid 1438 H. The meeting, which was held on the day of victory of the Muslims it was very warm because still in an atmosphere Lebaran.Meskipun During this GNPF MUI known to intensively criticize the Government, especially to President Joko Widodo who is considered not to be firm in solving legal cases involving Ahok. However, the meeting between President Jokowi and GNPF-MUI seemed suddenly caused a devastating effect.
A lot of speculation about this meeting. Some say this is the GNPF-MUI strategy for its existence to be recognized by the Government and for the Government to close Rizieq's case.
There is also an interesting issue of this meeting, where there is no communication between GNPF-MUI and Amien Rais and the Chairman of Alumni 212 when it comes to meeting the President.
In fact, the GNPF MUI meeting with the President at the Presidential Palace invited reaction and criticism from alumni 212 who did not approve the meeting. The purpose of common interest to be achieved even seemed to have rivalry. This is evident from the criticism from the Alumni 212 Presidium related to the GNPF-MUI meeting with the President.
Another factor, GNPF-MUI and Alumni Presidium 212 as ducklings lose their mothers. Given the leadership that is adhered to at this time was not willing to return to Indonesia, because it is still in Saudi Arabia.
